Football’s Dashon Goldson sheds an investment property in Marina del Rey

Professional football player Dashon Goldson has sold a condominium at the Azurra building in Marina del Rey for $875,000. He bought the property four years ago for about $612,000, records show.

Leased out over the years in the $4,400-a-month range, the 1,431-square-foot unit has an open floor plan and walls of windows that bring in courtyard views. There are two bedrooms, 2.5 bathrooms, a living room and an updated kitchen.

A pair of balconies extend the living space outside.

Shared amenities at the 19-story building include concierge and valet services, fitness facilities and a media lounge. A top-level “sky lounge” holds a communal swimming pool.

Panos Papadopoulos of Keller Williams Realty was the listing agent, according to the Multiple Listing Service. Papadopoulos also represented the buyer.

Goldson, a hard-hitting safety, was a two-time Pro Bowl selection and six-time NFL All-Pro in six seasons with the San Francisco 49ers. The 33-year-old appeared in four games for the Atlanta Falcons last year. He is now a free agent.
